LAUNCHING OF THE ONCE INNOVA ENTREPRENEURS CHALLENGE 2022

Your projects, our best future

After the success of the previous edition and lots of ideas that have made life easier for people with visual impairment and ONCE staff, this 2022 returns the ONCE Innova Entrepreneurs Challenge, and its presentation will be within the fair TifloInnova 2022. Which better framework than TifloInnova for the call for innovation that we make from ONCE to startups, scaleups and digital SMEs so that they can present their solutions and projects to this event, seeking to improve the life quality of blind and low vision people, and to improve the ONCE workers workplace.

On April 23rd at 12:00 PM, the official start of the ONCE Innova Entrepreneurs 2022 Challenge, the registration to participate in the Challenge will be open. The event will be held in the so-called "balconies lounge" of Palace Duke Pastrana, a building that is part of the facilities of TifloInnova 2022, and any visitor to the exhibition can attend the event completely free of charge, until full capacity is reached.

ONCE Innova Entrepreneurs is the contest organized by ONCE in public appeal to any participating company that, through its ingenuity and innovative ideas, can contribute to the progress we make in the ONCE Social Group towards a better quality of life for our members and workers. It has several phases, two categories where projects can be submitted, and a significant number of prizes and benefits for participants, including the guarantee of being able to carry out the winning project.

Technology:   an assistive tool to reduce unwanted loneliness

Unwanted loneliness among the general population and, more specifically, among those most vulnerable, is one of the main concerns in today’s western world, that has been aggravated during and beyond the recent health crisis.
Technology serves as a tool to enhance cohesion in our daily lives that, without a doubt, enables us to develop friendly environments based on attention and care, in addition to implementing new ways to facilitate social connections that will help to better manage the available resources to reduce unwanted loneliness.
The ONCE is therefore committed to different strategies and actions aimed at reaching solutions to detect and mitigate how the feeling of being alone can affect our lives and our physical and emotional well-being, by using technology as an assistive tool to help the blind and visually impaired.

Touch & See Museum models

 At TifloInnova 2022 you will be able to interact with the ONCE Touch & See Museum models that will be shown throughout the fair. They will be located in two areas, as you enter the exhibition, at the end of the left side wall and in the area next to the information point, entering on the right.
